Well, I wish I had some goofy picture of Lisa to post so everyone could laugh and leave comments, but the reality is that Lisa looks extremely hot in every photo I have of her! What can I do? If I post them, people will just be in awe of her glorious beauty and leave comments like, "Wow, Mark sure is a lucky guy!" or "I have seen the face of an angel! What must I do to be saved?"... and that would only make it more difficult to get back at her. I will have to think of something else.

Whatever do you mean?
I'm still here, thank you, my dear Lisa. It is only because I am so enraptured by your blazingly glorious baby-blue eyes that I haven't had any time (or ability) to write on our blog. I am sorry my dear, but if you would like me to be more productive, you should really not look at me so often with that stunning flutter in your gaze... I simply do not have the capacity to handle it and will quickly drift off into la-la land should you continue to be so beautiful.

A little behind....
Now that Vacation Bible School is done, I finally have time to update the blog. This WAS supposed to be a shared blog between me and Mark.... haha. Mark did really well the first couples weeks, and then.... well.... it was nice while it lasted. :) Anyway, I thought I'd post some pictures from Fourth of July weekend. We got to go up to Clay Center for a few days and be with Mark's parents, grandparents, sister Carrie and her family, and lots of friends. It was a very fun, very busy weekend.
Here Sam is making Mickey Mouse dance. You would probably say he is attacking, even strangling Mickey..... but Mickey is dancing.... I promise.
We had a picnic over at Grandma and Grandpa Habluetzel's house July 4th. What a blessing to have all four grandparents still with us! (Boy, that corn must have been good) :)
This is a picture of our youngest nephew Caleb. It's amazing that he has been with all of us for almost a year already! And he LOVES to get his picture taken!
All the nephews with Sam. It's hard to get them all smiling and looking at the camera at the same time. :) I'll take what I can get.
Four generations of Habluetzel men. How cool is that?!?
Here's a few videos from our weekend as well.
Samuel thinks Caleb is chasing him, but he's totally not. :)
Awwwwww... boys. :)
And for the finale, Sam's first experience with SPARKLERS!!!

5 Years
5 years ago today my mom passed away. I thought I'd be super sad and depressed, but I'm really doing okay. I actually forgot that today was "the day" until about an hour ago. I know that things like this get easier with time, but I think a huge reason I'm doing okay today is because I KNOW where Mom is at. She is in a place I can't even begin to imagine, a place more absolutely amazing than anyone on earth could even start to dream up. And although I do still miss her a lot, and can't get past the joy of where she's at. Instead of today being a day of sadness, I want to celebrate the day she went HOME.
I was so blessed to have a mom like her. Her spiritual wisdom and guidance made a HUGE impact in my life, and I know I wouldn't be absolutely, sold-out, in love with God if it wasn't for her own love for Him. Thanks Mom! :)
